Hmmmm.........sort of similar to my sailing yesterday. When rigging up a friend had just come up and said he was almost over powered on the outside, so I decided to really put some downhaul on my 5.5. Got into the water and didnt even get to plane............but the wind was meant to be on the outside. So I sailed out a bit but still not plaining. Contemplated the long swim in if I carried on, so turned around and came back in a few yards downwind from where I set off. So....lay in the sun for a while almost dozing off. The wind comes up and its nearly 5pm.......loads of light yet but laziness got the better of me. Bad decision cos the guys had a great time then! But then one guys boom disintegrated quite far out so at least my boom was on hand for the rescue!

ocean sailing - denied!

Surfergirl777, also known as She Who Must Be Obeyed...my beautiful and brilliant wife...I will take much greater care in the future, if you would be so kind as to allow me to return to the surf.

In answer to a question you asked the other day on Frogma - 84 miles from Mecca (aka Maui).

Did see one windsurfer out having a fantastic day off Hawaii Kai, the day TQ & I joined Hui Wa'a Kaukahi for a surf clinic. Nice breezy day.

Back in NY now. Bleah.

"It's good to have a shredmobile" my friend Caldwell said, so I made one. It's a Ford E150 cargo van done up with lumber and k-mart plastic boxes.
